With its two traditional bars the Bull is a classic example of a Victorian country pub and it is essentially still a village local.
It has unusual old iron lattice windows which are typical of the area. The pub serves a good range of real ales and has a beer festival every year. Pub food is only available Sunday lunchtimes (phone first) but there is a street food van from assorted artisan suppliers on Friday evenings and sometimes on Saturdays and Sundays.
As well as darts and dominoes there is an old Penny in the Hole game, where the hole is in a seat in one of the bars.
