Traditional Village Pub
Staithes is a beautiful old fishing village with cottages clinging to the hillside and narrow streets leading down to the picturesque harbour (photo 2).
The Cod & Lobster sits towards the end of the High Street right on the seafront (photo 1). The outside seating on the harbour wall is lovely on a sunny summers day but you’ll need to head inside once the wind gets up. A sign on the pub says “In rough weather please use the other door”.
The pub opens at 9.30 for tea and coffee and for breakfast in the tourist season. Lunches and dinners are served along with four changing cask beers.
