The Crown is owned by the local Parish Council and has a support group called the ‘Friends of the Crown’. In return, the pub hosts community events and has darts, pool, cribbage and quiz teams. The regular cask beers are from Wye Valley and there are rotating guests from other local breweries. The pub serves food lunchtime and evenings except Monday when the pub is closed.
The pub is in a lovely setting on the village green surrounded by half-timbered buildings, and the village is part of Herefordshire’s Black & White Trail. The Crown itself was once a black and white coaching inn until the coaches took a different route and the timbering was covered over.
