Kilnsey

The Tennant Arms is in a spectacular setting underneath the impressive overhanging bulk of Kilnsey Crag, a popular spot for daring climbers. It’s a 17th century coaching inn and was a stopover on the Richmond to West Yorkshire route. The pub has been modernised but it has still has three rooms and a wonderful Jacobean fireplace. There are 10 ensuite letting rooms and meals are served all day.

The Kilnsey Park Estate and trout farm, and the Kilnsey Trekking & Riding Centre are both near neighbours.

The small village of Kilnsey is on the hillside just to the south of the pub sitting astride Mastiles Lane, a Roman road leading over the moor to Malham.
