The Kings Head is a cask ale stalwart and serves no keg beers, not even the trendy modern ones. The eight beers are mainly from Norfolk micro breweries but also incude ales from favourites like Mighty Oak and Mauldons. There’s always at least one dark beer on and there’s a good selection of bottles from German and Belgian breweries including quality lagers like Budvar, Schenkerla and Andechs.
There’s a quiet front room with bench seating and a livelier back room with a good number of locals and a bar billiards table. It gets livelier still as the night goes on because the Kings Head stays open until Midnight every night.
