Thatch mellows the English landscape and thatched pubs represent an iconic image of the English countryside. They can be found all across the UK and Ireland but most are to be found down the east side of Britain and along the south coast from Kent to Cornwall. It is interesting to compare the different styles of thatch in different regions of the UK.
