The Cutlers Arms in Rotherham was restored in 2014 by Chantry Brewery and they made a great job of it. The pub was rebuilt in 1907 for Stones Brewery of Sheffield and their name and their ‘Cannon Ales’ strapline appears in stone carvings and stained glass windows across the front of the pub (photos 1 & 2).

The entrance leads to the lobby bar with a smoke room to the right and a snug to the left with its own curved bar counter. The restoration revealed two ‘Cannon Ales’ mosaic tiled floors, one at the main entrance and one in the snug.

Chantry is a Rotherham Brewery, set up in 2012, and the Cutlers serves up to seven of their beers. Food is limited to snacks like pork pies and pickled eggs. Live music features at weekends with local rock and heavy metal bands.
