A charming one-roomed rural local in a tiny hamlet just outside Buntingford dating from the early 19th century. It serves two real ales, Woodford Wherry and Fullers London Pride, and it has darts and cribbage, and a TV for sport.
It’s famous as being the Horse & Groom in the 2005 film Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect have a pint and eat nuts just before the Earth is demolished by an alien construction team.
