The Blue Peter is a Grade II listed pub built in the early 1800s right on the harbour and fish quay at Polperro. The village is wonderfully picturesque with old, narrow and twisting streets with fishermen’s cottages running down to the harbour.

The inn has been run by the same family for 18 years and offers high quality pub grub, specialising in seafood. It has a pretty good selection of mostly Cornish beers and features frequently in the annual Good Beer Guide. There is live acoustic music every Friday and Saturday.

It’s old fashioned inside with oak beams and intimate alcoves, and there are good views of the sea and the harbour. The name comes from the naval flag meaning ‘Crew on Board’ which is a white oblong on a blue background, and one hangs outside the pub.
