Modern Pub

Set right on the canal bank in the centre of town, the Boat House is an ideal location on a summer’s day. The canal is the Leeds Liverpool and inside the bar a large mural depicts the 127 mile route.  There are good views from the windows inside, and even better ones from the many seats and tables on the canal bank. If you’re tempted to get on the water, a narrowboat hire company is just next door.

The Boat House opened in 2016 and was one of the bars that spearheaded Skipton’s micropub boom. There are six cask beers, with Tiller Pin from Wishbone in Keighley a regular, plus at least one dark ale and at least one stronger pale beer. The keg taps have Hofmeister Lager, Hogans ciders and a small choice of craft ales.

The address is a bit confusing – the bar is on the canal bank which you can reach via passageways off Coach Street.
