This is a welcoming and popular old fashioned local with three rooms and a surprisingly large back yard. There are five changing cask ales which on my most recent visit included Landlord, Plum Porter and Tribute.
There’s quite a lot going on with regular live music, usually in the marquee in the yard, a folk session, ands events like piefests, cheesefests, local arts festivals and even morris dancing.
There are three rooms, the main bar, a simple lounge and a slightly larger room at the back which hosts the indoor music sessions.
The gents toilets are outside and you’ll have to navigate a sizeable tree, still growing, just inside the door!
