The Golden Ball was built in the 17th century in golden Cotswold stone and has been a pub since the 19th century (photo 1). The pub serves Donnington beers, and locally sourced pub food is available lunchtimes and evenings.
The inn sign shows the tankard and barley logo of the Donnington Brewery, picturesquely located on a lake just over a mile away (photo 2). The sign was replaced recently but it now hangs on the wall at Donnington Brewery. The new sign at the Golden Ball is a plaque, like the one at the Fox Inn at Broadwell.
The pub is on the Donnington Way, a sixty two mile walk taking in some of the most beautiful countryside in the Cotswolds.
