The Lamp Tavern is one of only a handful of traditional pubs owned by the family brewer Bathams. It is a lively, welcoming pub with a public bar and a lounge bar, serving mild and bitter, plus XXX in December.
The old Queen’s Cross Brewery behind the pub has been converted to a music and function room, and hosts live music and comedy. The pub has its own live music website promoting its gigs, at least one a month, usually on Fridays or Saturdays https://lamptavernlive.co.uk/.
There’s a patio at the back for outdoor drinking and there are five letting rooms in Lamp Cottage next door.
