Modern Pub
Since opening in 2016 the Petersgate Tap has become a leading light of the Stockport beer scene with six cask beer hand-pumps and another six taps for keg beer.
Unusually for a modern micropub it promotes cider as much as beer and is a frequent winner of local and regional Cider Pub of the Year awards. The Stockport Gin distillery is right next door and all their gins are sold in the pub.
The main room has booth seating with oak top tables with the bar counter at the far end, and the upstairs room has extra seating and space for events and parties. The events include beer and whisky tastings and the Torrside Monster weekends when the Torrside Brewery from New Mills takes over the taps.
