The Raven is an old-school Edwardian pub with tiled walls, stained glass and a down to earth attitude. There are four changing real ales from breweries across the UK, often including one of Ossett’s pale and hoppy beers.
Food includes that Wigan staple, pies with mash, mushy peas and gravy (with parched peas in winter). They also do a chippy tea on Fridays, a dish made famous by St Helens band the Lancashire Hot Pots.
