Traditional Town Pub, 2* Heritage Pub

The Seven Stars is an imposing Grade 2 listed red brick Edwardian pub next to Stourbridge Junction station. It’s now run by Black Country Brewery and like all their pubs serves an impressively large range of ales, with four of their own and nine changing beers from other breweries. There’s also a large range of snacks with an assortment of pies and filled cobs.

It’s a two star Camra Heritage Pub with lots of Edwardian woodwork, ceramics and decorative glass. Look out for the art nouveau etched and stained glass windows promoting original owners Mitchell & Butlers, and the blue and cream tiling in the entrance corridor. In the large public bar there’s a splendid carved wooden bar back with mirrors and a central clock

Behind the public bar is an equally large lounge with another bank of hand-pumps, and there’s a courtyard to the side. The Seven Stars has 4 rooms to let, so with trains to Birmingham from the nearby station it’s a good base if you’re visiting Stourbridge and the Black Country.
