Low Newton-by-the-Sea is a picturesque former fishing village on the Northumberland coast between Craster and Seahouses. The Ship Inn is an 18th century pub in the corner of the three sided rectangle of cottages that faces the sea.

Since 2008 it’s been a brew pub with beers like Dolly Daydream and Ship Hop Ale brewed in the garage next to the pub. It has a reputation for great food as well, with locally caught fish, free range meat from local farms and a good range of vegetarian dishes.

The pub is close to the Coast & Castles cycle route and a short walk from the atmospheric Dunstanburgh Castle.
