Hotel
The Sligachan is a Victorian hotel famously catering for climbers, mountaineers and walkers since the 1800s.
The pub part of the hotel is called Seumas’ Bar, added to the main building in 1987 and serving ales from the Isle of Skye Brewery and other Highland breweries. It also sells an impressive 450 malt whiskies.
The hotel and the bar close in winter but the dates of closure vary year to year – check the website or Facebook pages (below).
The peak behind the pub is Marsco, one of the Red Hills of Skye, and the path to the summit is right outside the hotel.
