The Sound Bar does what it says on the tin, with music all day long. It’s rarely loud enough to prevent conversation and the playlist has a range of choices to suit fans of rock and roll, blues, soul, indie and Americana.
There are live bands on Sunday afternoons and various evenings, a monthly soul afternoon on the first Wednesday, an open mic on the last Wednesday and a music quiz on the first Thursday. See the website for an up to date list. Vinyl albums are on sale in racks at the end of the pub and music posters cover the walls.
There’s a bar too of course with four or five real ales from local breweries, and coffee is available all day.
