Traditional Village Pub
The Sycamore is a stone-built local dating from the 17th century with a classic setting next to the church, village green and duckpond in the Peak District village of Parwich.
Inside there is some nice 1930s furniture and fittings including the bench seating in all three bars. When the local shop closed in 2008 another of the pub rooms was converted into the village shop, open every day.
The beers are from Robinsons of Stockport, including the famous dark winter ale, Old Tom. Traditional pub food is served most of the day.
