There is a wonderful variety of building stone used for pubs in the UK. From the dark granite and sandstones of Scotland, the slates of Cumbria and Wales, the grey and buff gritstone and yorkstone of the Pennines, the golden limestone of the Cotswolds down to dark granite again in Cornwall.
